Dev Log - Aug 24, 2025
This week was all about nailing down the overall vibe and aesthetic for the game. I’ve been drawing a lot of inspiration from the Portal series. Clean, sterile environments with a hint of something unsettling beneath the surface. It’s still early days, but I wanted to make sure the tone feels consistent and immersive right from the start.
In the process, I also started experimenting with some basic level design and short-term gameplay loops. Just enough to get a feel for how the mechanics might work in context. It's all very rough, but it’s helping shape the direction moving forward.
I changed a few operations for the Blueprints, Specifically the "BP_Door", Instead of Destroying the actor upon interaction from the player ( So long as they are holding a Key ) The door will instead slowly open to a 45 degree angle, I wanted it to be slow, Trying to make the player feel un-easy and are more cautious.
